Potty training tips anyone?
Our 2 year old started expressing an interest in using his little potty today and wants to wear training pants instead of his diapers. The tricky part is that our entire apartment is carpeted except for the bathroom and the kitchen. Any suggestions for keeping leaks to minimum?

My two year old is interested in potty training too. The only piece of advice I keep hearing is when the kids are ready, then we shouldn't have too much of a problem. I did buy the thicker underwear to kind of start out with. The regular ones, well everything goes right through them. We have carpet everywhere too in our apartment and have had some accidents. That's when we knew she wasn't ready so we took a break and now she's interested again. Good luck, hope that helped a little. :)

Ok.. this may be too long.
I stuck with the pull ups until there was no accidents cause I didn't want to clean up. (ya... lazy.. but it still worked) I had a reward (chocolate milk) and lots of praise. I didn't push it. When she wanted to go she did. And then I started babysitting a boy and he was potty trained, and she one day decided she wanted to use the potty and that was that. So... babysit someone for a bit. Or have a friend over. The peer pressure works wonders!
So true that when they are ready they are ready. I wasn't ready.. but that's awhole other story. Good luck!
