Frugal Fridays - Homemade cleaners

Lately I've been enjoying making my own household cleaners. The ingredients are inexpensive in the long run as they will make a lot of batches. You can also customize the scent by choosing your favourite essential oils. It's also nice to know exactly what is in your cleaning products.

There are some great ones in Treasury of Vintage Homekeeping Skills ~ Collections of the Homekeeper and also in Home Comforts: The Art and Science of Keeping House. Both of these books can be found on Amazon.com and "Treasure of Vintage Homekeeping" or in the interest of frugality you might be able to check them out at your local library.

I love using lavender oil in some hot soapy water, and also make lavender linen water for ironing.
Thanks for stopping by,
Debbie
