On a happier note...
We had a great weekend in the bush hunting. Dwayne went out with the men and they got a couple of moose. The kids and I stayed behind with our friend and her grandson and had a nice time chatting and the babies and I were able to catch up on some much needed rest to finally vanquish the colds we've been fighting the past couple of weeks.

On Sunday our host's daughter-in-law and her son came across the river as well and we all had Thanksgiving dinner together. Turkey dinner in the middle of the bush - amazing!

Hendrik had a great time playing with the other 2 kids. Riley's second tooth FINALLY came in after 2 months of us seeing it sitting there just under her gum. I got to read (!!!) - hooray! I finished "Lady Susan" by Jane Austen which is the book the Sense & Sensibility book club is reading right now. Dwayne was glad to that the guys had a successful hunt. All in all, a good weekend. :)

On Saturday night Hendrik heard his first owl. There was a big hooter sitting up in a tree behind the log cabin. We couldn't see it in the dark but we could sure hear it hooting away.
